About Us ( DramaHub UK)
I’m Peter Bernard Shally and I started DramaHub UK back in 2012, my original idea was to create a website styled meeting place, where all the regions theatrical groups could jointly post their production information.
A place where the various groups could hang out, talk between themselves, relate to their individual production problems.
It struck me that if one group was looking for a particular obscure prop or a piece of kit, another group might be able to help, and why not help each other? hence my slogan
"ALL ONE TOGETHER".
Face book filled that technical embellishment with the onset of several Facebook group pages coming to the forefront and they are very well done too, these sites are really helpful.
So instead, DramaHub become a site where fellow theatricals and thespians from far and near can obtain services such as budget printing, hire a sound system, hire a small lightweight trailer to carry stuff from one place to another.
For a larger event, in-ear communications are essential. DramaHub hires out communications units.
Showreels and headshots are also a specialisation and all at moderate affordable charges.
The main message to the region was and still is:
We must all try
to support each other
as much as possible
because as costs rise, budgets get tighter and it’s not unusual for a theatre/drama style
companies to close down.
Since I launched DramaHub it has expanded into diverse support services, available to help productions
that are held together adapting to small budgets and shoe-string support.
The services are available to the world at large and offer some attractive deals with down to earth pricing.

A bit about myself
I spent the first 25 years of my working life as a professional entertainer working across the UK and travelling across Europe, eventually reaching as far as Australia via the USA and better still Fiji. Those were the good old days and that experience has stood me in good stead and given me the foundation to build DramaHub UK.
It was a good exciting life whilst it lasted but by the 1980s, I decided that finishing the Saturday night gig in Swansea, at gone midnight, and then having to travel through the night to open up a noon matinee in Dundee the next morning, was time to call it a quits.
Luckily I walked straight into a job in 1983 with a Hull based leisure company and became their entertainment manager.
I had 8 venues to book, with 8 stages to fill each week, with 8 sets of resident musicians to find, and I must have seen zillions of bands of all shapes, sizes and denominations. It certainly was a full time job and I was constantly putting together spectacular shows to fill Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night specials.
A change of direction
It was during the job with Palmfield Leisure Group that I decided enough was enough, I could see the decline of the social/cabaret clubs on the horizon and as the financial crisis started to loom across the world the job of filling a venue got tougher and tougher.
So, I decided to re-train, I went back to college and I eventually became a graphic designer, and, got a job! several jobs for that matter, even owning a print shop at one point.
I rapidly went through a baptism of fire working with those print companies, all in a vain attempt to widen my print experience and designing skills.
In 1997 I finally joined a small locally based publishing company David Publishings Ltd and I ran their design studio up to 2015, producing 108 paged, perfect bound glossy magazines from one month to another.
I'm now retired and so I decided to run "My Little One Man Band" to keep my brain ticking over.
All through those years I was still practising my performance skills and I’m still part of several theatrical/drama companies across the region, Ive acted and sang in both musical theatre and performance drama.
However, nowadays I find myself working more and more behind the scenes and enjoy being part of the production team, bringing the world of theatre to life.
